“Pie in the Sky” is an American phrase, coined in 1911 by Joe Hill, a Swedish-born itinerant laborer who immigrated to the USA in the early 1900s. “Pie in the Sky” usually refer to an unrealistic and unattainable goal, wish or dream. Do you ever have that experience where you work so hard towards whatever goals you want to achieve but then, at the end of the day, you say to yourself that this isn't going anywhere.
You may have seen this original illustration posted in social media where you are inches away from success. From a point of view of a realist/optimist, we change up this illustration a little. As a realist, you may question, what if there aren't any shiny objects and make a 180 degree mental shift and reset your achievable goals. As an optimist, you are happy with what you've got and thankful that there is a freshly baked pumpkin pie waiting for you.
